Sub
Group Road Data is a technical group, made up of representatives
of
national road administrations and reporting to CEDR on matters
of common interest relating to road data. The Sub Group has set up
a number of working groups to address particular issues, including:
- A Common European Road Data Dictionary
- Best Practice in Data Management
- Location Referencing of the TERN
Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR)
The Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR) (and its predecessor,
the Western European Road Directors (WERD)) has been promoting collaboration
and exchange of information and expertise amongst its members since
1998. In particular, it aims to:
- Provide support to the activities of the Road Directors and
their national road administrations
- Promote a high level of common information
- Give assistance to the European Commission in the preparation
of reports concerning the development of the Trans European Road
Network (TERN)
